Gmail Mobile Alert Service (GMAS Beta) only for India.

Gmail Mobile Alert Service (GMAS) is in Beta stage and is available exclusively for Indian mobile phones.
Here are the steps to active service on your mobile phone

  1. Send email to galertMailImage with command in Subject Field “galert” [without quotes] followed by space and then 10 digit mobile phone number . The email body should be left blank.

  2. After few minutes (depending on server load and service provider) an sms will be received containing mobile activation code , which is 8 character alpha-numeric code.
  3. Goto http://galert.vivekmisra.com and type in the Code along with your mobile phone.

  4. After successful authentication log again into your Gmail account , goto Settings, goto Forwarding and POP/IMAP and select Forwarding a copy in incoming mail to. Type in galertMailImage and select Keep Gmail’s copy in the Inbox. Click Save Changes.
